I feel that it is a great honour to be an elected Newquay Town Councillor, thank you!

I have a broad spectrum of interests and expertise, which I am sharing with the Newquay community.  Being part of the Cost-of-Living Crisis Working Party, we have developed ideas and strategies that will hopefully help the population of Newquay get through the following months, from lining people’s curtains to easy, cheap cooking to information signposting.

I love reading and have been working alongside the library staff to think of new ideas and widening out what the library offers as a ‘warm place’ this winter.  Another past time that I adore and am knowledgeable about is gardening, I have a gardening ‘handy hints and tips’ group at the library every second Wednesday of the month, all are welcome, its free.

Geography has been my main teaching/lecturing subject over the years and I am still a Research Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society (with IBG).  My Geography skills are coming into use when I am on Planning and Licensing trying to support appropriate development in the Town.

In the rest of my time, I support my elderly mother and support our Ukrainian family, walk our dogs, go bird watching, keep in the loop with my adult daughters and manage the paperwork for our business.
