This Committee has a number of areas of responsibility delegated to it by Council. It oversees the management and operation of all the public conveniences that the Town Council owns, which are cleaned by the Facilities Service. Those currently do not include the Toilets at Newquay Bus Station or Newquay Harbour – however the Facilities does clean the Harbour toilets under a Service Level Agreement with Cornwall Council.

It is responsible for the CCTV infrastructure within Newquay, run by the CCTV Service. The Service aids in the prevention and detection of crime and works in partnership with Devon & Cornwall Police Constabulary as well as Newquay Shopwatch. The CCTV Service also monitors St Austell Town Centre in partnership with St Austell Town Council.

This Committee erects the Christmas Lights throughout the Town each year and also maintains the decorative white lighting which runs from Fore Street through to Cliff Road.

Other areas the Committee is responsible for are Streetsafe, Youth initiatives and homeless projects.
