Environment Services
OUR MISSION: To improve the appearance of Newquay, managing Town Council assets, infrastructure and open spaces to provide facilities and services that are considered good or excellent in standard, creating a safer, thriving and prosperous town which residents and visitors can take pride in and which enhances their wellbeing by being naturally diverse, beautiful and healthy with an abundance of wildlife.
The Environmental Service team are responsible for the upkeep of footpaths and open spaces in and around Newquay. They routinely maintain the Killacourt®, Eothen, Piazza, Mount Wise Gardens and Marcus Hill estate. They introduce new planting schemes and planters around Newquay, and deal with other environmental and horticultural issues that fall outside of Cornwall Council’s remit. They work on a scheduled maintenance basis, however they do undertake some reactive tasks and are reliant on tip-offs from the public, so please do get in touch if you see something you think they could deal with. The Environment Service is also responsible for the Enforcement Team, who monitor and enforce dog fouling, dog bans, littering, fly tipping and more.
