THE LIBRARY KNITTERS AND CRAFTERS

For beginners and experienced knitters and crafters! All ages welcome. Please bring your own patterns or craft materials and get crafty together!

NEWQUAY LIBRARY GARDENING CLUB

Come along for handy hints & tips, share your ideas and be inspired! Just turn up. Every 2nd Wednesday of the month. 1.30pm – 2.30pm – upstairs in the library.

GENEALOGY FOR BEGINNERS 

Free family history drop in sessions. 2pm every third Wednesday of the month. Starting up in November on the 15th. Book your free space: newquay.library@LISCornwall.org.uk or speak to a staff member at the library.

Book Sale

The last week of the month we hold a book sale at the Library. Just pop in and have a browse.

Readers Groups 

Newquay Library Book Group. Every Welcome. First Friday of the month from 3pm – 4pm. Register your interest: newquay.library@LISCornwall.org.uk

Newquay U3A Reader’s Group meets on the last Friday in the month from 2pm.

Clubs

Family Board Games & Chess Club

Every Saturday. Time: 10am – 4pm.  An opportunity for families to drop into the library and play some of our old-school board games together, have a game of chess, or learn to play chess with the help of our in-house chess teacher (teacher available 10-12) all ages and abilities are welcome.  All games are provided.  This is a free event.

Homework Club 

Our homework club runs during term time every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (3pm-5pm) and all day Saturday.  Open to all school age children and is run on a non-supervised drop-in basis. Children are able to use the PC’s for free, free Internet, limited free photocopying and printing. The study area space upstairs is free to use if needed and library assistants are available to help

Lego Club (Term Time)

Tuesday afternoons, 15:30 – 16:30 Term time. For 4- to 11-year-olds.

Drop in, no need to book.
