This Committee is responsible for finding opportunities to bring in footfall and trade to the town and combat those that would have a negative impact.

It oversees two of the Town Council’s services; the Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre and the Library and Information Service.

In addition, the committee organises a number of Town Council led events such as Newquay Sessions, Fireworks, Summer Finale, Christmas Lights Switch-on (in partnership with Newquay BID) and the Newquay Christmas Market. The committee also manages the Killacourt in the centre of Newquay which is the main event space for Newquay and beyond.

The Committee also supports a number of other organisations with their own events, either with financial support or promotional. Over the years it has assisted; Newquay Carnival, Cornwall Pride, Newquay Fish Festival, Lowender Peran and many more.
